Desiring to slim your face and have a V shaped face? This non surgical jaw reduction procedure will help you accomplish that.*

If you have a face shape that looks too big at the jaws, it is possible that you have big masseter muscles that is causing your face to look rounder, bigger or too square. You can slim the jawline with a simple injection of Btx (or other neuromodulators) on each side of the jaw. This is face slimming procedure is popularly known as the non surgical square jaw reduction procedure, or the Btx square jaw reduction procedure.*

The masseters are two bulky muscles on each side of the angle of your jaw. They serve as muscles of mastication, which means they help you chew. There are two other muscle groups that also perform this function, namely the temporalis muscles and the pterygoid muscles.*

Sometimes, big jaws are caused by habitual or subconscious grinding of teeth. With excessive chewing or grinding (in a condition known as bruxism), the masseters at the jawline can grow to quite a size (causing the jaws to look square), much like how body builders grow their abs and pects by training them. Relaxing the muscles by injecting Btx is effective in shrinking the jawline, thereby reducing the square jaw appearance.*

Do you have a problem with grinding teeth causing bigger jaws? Read more about it here.

It is a myth that to achieve face slimming with square jaws, invasive surgery (such as cutting the jaw bone) is necessary. The reality is that there is a safe and effective non-surgical / non-invasive method to achieve square jaw reduction / face slimming.*

In addition, after the reduction of one’s Square Jaw, or with face slimming, you can proceed to contour your face and make it the desired V shape. Click here to see our non-surgical V-Shape face contouring.*

How is it done?

Btx is injected into the masseters on each side of the face and spread out at multiple points within the muscle to produce jaw reduction results. With Dr. Tiffiny Yang’s proprietary 1 point btx jaw reduction technique, it only takes one single skin injection per side of jaw to reach 5 points within the muscle and is completed in under 5 minutes. It is highly effective, with minimal or no pain and absolutely no downtime at all.* The jaw reduction procedure is a non surgical procedure. Face slimming and jaw reduction effect is seen at any time between 2 to 8 weeks.*

Our experience with the non surgical Jaw Reduction treatment / Face slimming treatment has been that almost all our patients see a noticeable reduction in their square jaw after 2 to 8 weeks.*

What is so special about Dr. Tiffiny’s BTOX face slimming treatment?

Current administration of btx to reduce one’s jaw line (square jaw reduction) will usually involve approximately 3-6 injection points on each side of the face. For many patients, 3 to 6 jabs on each side on the face can be a very frightening thought. Dr. Tiffiny has mastered an innovative technique which only requires 1 skin injection point on each side of the face to reach 5 different points within the muscle. The results of Dr. Tiffiny’s technique is exactly the same as the conventional 3 to 6 point injection technique because it also reaches the same number of points in just a single painless skin injection.*

Possible side effects

With Dr. Tiffiny Yang’s proprietary technique, you will almost always walk out with no swelling or bruising, perhaps with just one tiny needle mark.* In the first week, there may be a slight dull ache over the muscles, especially with chewing. This should be transient and resolve within a week. You should abstain from massaging the muscles and from lying down, for 4 hours after the procedure. This technique has a great advantage in reducing risks to almost negligible, since it is only 1 skin injection point within a good safety margin.*

Rest be assured, although the results of the btx face slimming or non surgical square jaw reduction is clearly visible, the treatment will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you “had work done”.* The face slimming or non surgical square jaw reduction gives your appearance a subtle shift, to make it look as though as you had merely lost weight or baby fats from your face.* It looks natural and never “over-done”.*

FAQs about Non-surgical Jaw Reduction by Btx

Will my skin sag after non-surgical jaw reduction by Btx?

No. The difference in jaw slimming is visible but not so great as to cause excess skin, such that it sags. As mentioned, it’s a natural looking effect, unlike surgical jaw reduction where people will most likely be able to tell.*

When I do non-surgical jaw reduction by Btx, will I become addicted to the procedure?

Only if you’re addicted to looking better than before. The procedure itself does not produce any form of dependence or tolerance to btx. If you are satisfied with the results or decide not to continue with it, you do not have to repeat the procedure any more than you so wish.*

Does the effect of non-surgical jaw reduction by Btx become permanent after a while?

This is a question that is still under major debate. Some believe that with prolonged weakening and atrophy of the masseter muscles, it becomes difficult to build it up again, so that the effect becomes more permanent. There may even be bone remodelling of the jaw due to changes in muscle action on the angles of the jaw. However, this effect is at best variable and uncertain. If you are keen to upkeep your beautiful V-shape face, it is still a good idea to maintain it with sufficient doses at regular intervals, depending on your doctor’s prescription.*

I did the non-surgical jaw reduction by Btx. Why do I not see the result?

If you do not see the results from your recent non-surgical jaw reduction by Btx, here’s a checklist to find out why:

1. Was it a reliable treatment? This may seem rather common sense, but it is important to know that your treating personnel is licensed and trained to perform this procedure, as well as use approved brands of botulinum toxin. At the date of this article, 3 brands of botulinum toxin: Btx, Dysprt and X’min are FDA (USA) and HSA (Singapore) approved. No unlicensed spa or beautician should be doing this procedure for you.*

2. Has it been 2 months since your non-surgical jaw reduction by Btx? Results are not instantaneous. It takes an average of 2-8 weeks to see good results.*

3. Was the dose of botulinum toxin enough? Low doses effect small changes, so that you are unable to tell the difference. Perhaps you need to check how much botulinum toxin was used and whether you need a top up.*

4. Is the reason for treatment correct? There are 4 reasons to not having a slim face: big bone, fat under the skin, buccal fat pad on the cheeks and masseter muscles at the angles of the jaws. Non-surgical jaw reduction by Btx only resolves the last one. You need other procedures to treat the other 3 causes. Occasionally, it is more than one reason. The doctor can tell you which is your real problem and recommend accordingly.*

5. Do you have antibodies to the botulinum toxin? This is very rare but possible. If you have antibodies to the botulinum toxin, the injected Btx will have been removed by the body and rendered ineffective at the point of injection. In that case, consider other forms of treatments. You may also consider trying Xeomin which is less antibody-inducing than the rest.*

Skin Tightening for Face Slimming

You may also consider slimming the face by skin tightening (such as Thermage, Hironic) or skin lifting by threadlift which corrects droopy skin. Excess droopy skin can make the face look boxier and more square than it actually is. By tightening such excess skin, you can therefore achieve a much slimmer looking face without surgery.* Read more about our threadlift treatment here. Read more about our Thermage face slimming treatment here.

Having a short chin? Or just wanna refine its contours to create a slimmer looking face?*

A short or stubby chin is the nemesis of the ideal face shape for beauty. Using hyaluronic acid filler injections, you can reshape your chin, therefore improving both your side and frontal profile.*

Hyaluronic acid filler is a proteoglycan similar to what is also found in our skin, eyes and joints. It is highly reversible, either by dissolution or natural breakdown by the body over months, and has been found to be very safe for facial contouring.*

Why do Chin Filler at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery?

For chin contouring, it only takes one, at most two injections, with Dr Tiffiny Yang’s 1-point V shape face technique, therefore minimising the pain with almost no downtime.* For first-time fillers, an average of 1-2cc of filler is sufficient. Pain is minimised with the use of filler that contains lignocaine to numb the injected areas.*

Chin filler augmentation can create a more defined 3D shape of the chin– not only able to bring the chin forward for those with receding chins (retrognathia) but also make it sharper and/or longer for those with short, small chins (micrognathia). This can give the face the ideal V shaped face everyone desires. Chin filler augmentation may sometimes have a advantage over chin implant surgery in being able to create a more beautiful shape.*

For enhanced effect, a small dose of btx injection at the chin relaxes a muscle that shortens the chin and also helps the filler last longer.*

How is it done?

It only takes a short procedure of under 15 minutes and around 2 injections at the chin area for effective augmentation.* There is usually very little bleeding and pain is well controlled by topical numbing cream and local anaesthetic that is prepared into the filler prior to the procedure.

The chin often requires more than 1cc of filler to achieve a dramatic result. Short receding chins may occasionally even take up 2 to 3cc of filler to achieve the desired result.

Possible side effects

An occasional side effect is some dull aching and slight bruising under the chin for a few days. Swelling is minimal and the result is obvious immediately.*

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

FAQ on dermal fillers:

What are fillers?

How many types of fillers are there?

In a nutshell, fillers can be classified into temporary, semi-permanent and permanent fillers. Our favourite is the hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a temporary filler lasting between 9-12 months. It’s made of glycosaminoglycan polysaccharide and is not just found to be naturally occurring in the body as universal extracellular matrix– it’s also chemically identical across species and therefore, is very low on antigenicity, i.e. less likely to cause bad immune reactions. In other words, it’s very safe. There are many other brands in the market that are also similarly good in quality. Be sure to check with your doctor on this.*

There are also other type of fillers that are non-hyaluronic acid based, such as poly-L-lactic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite and poly-caprolactone. They essentially work by having an initial bulking effect plus an additional benefit of stimulating collagen synthesis wherever they are placed. This enhances their volume enhancing effect in the mid-term, so you may have to wait a little for the full effect. However, they may not necessarily last longer than current, newer type hyaluronic acid fillers. An alternative would be to choose a more viscous hyaluronic acid product, which your doctor can recommend to you.*

Semi-permanent fillers last the longest. Examples include polyacrylamide gel (i.e. plastic), and liquid silicone, which is the longest lasting of all fillers. These can last for years. However, the longer lasting the filler, the more likely it can cause complications such as lumps and scarring.*

Why did the facial filler seem to decrease so quickly in the first 2 days after injection?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) occurs naturally without cross linkages. In this form, it is easily broken down in the body in 1-2 days. The HA that remains are those that are still cross-linked, which prevents its breakdown, and this is the form that lasts. Therefore, your facial filler with HA can seem to decrease quickly in the first 2 days before it plateaus into a steady state. The rest decreases slowly. Therefore, the more cross-linked the HA, the longer it lasts.*

There is also a part of the filler procedure that causes a little swelling, such as the local anaesthetic and the inflammation of local trauma. This quickly subsides in a few days, leading to a reduction of up to 20-30% in the final result.*

Should I always choose the brand of HA that lasts the longest to save cost?

The longer HA lasts, the more viscous it must be and therefore, the harder its feel may be or its chance of leaving residual lumps. Harder HA may not be suitable for all areas of facial correction, even though they last longer, because they may not be suitable for all areas or feel all that natural in others.*

Why does my nose have a bluish tinge after filler injection with hyaluronic acid?

If it isn’t a bruise, it can be due to the Tyndall effect, which occurs after injection of hyaluronic acid is done too superficially so that it shows through the skin, making it take on a bluish tint that is not easily hidden by makeup. It doesn’t happen often, though, and can be avoided by placing the filler in the correct plane. Newer improved fillers seldom give the Tyndall effect these days.*

After a facial filler injection, can I go for massage or wash my face?

Temporary fillers are moldable in the first 4 hours or so and they settle in approximately 2 days. In the first 4 hours, you shouldn’t apply firm pressure on the area of the filler or massage too hard. Gentle washing of the face is permitted. For the first 2 days, it is advisable not to apply prolonged pressure on the area of the facial filler e.g. sleeping on that side of the face– there is a slight chance it may shift. Thereafter, once it has set, you can do whatever you want and it should not change in shape.*

Myths about dermal fillers– busted.

Myth: Fillers are permanent.

Truth: There are many different types of fillers. Some are permanent, some are semi-permanent and the rest are temporary fillers. Temporary fillers are mostly made of hyaluronic acid nowadays. It is a substance that is also naturally found in the body and is absolutely safe for use. It is gradually broken down by the body and absorbed, usually lasting from 6-12 months.*

Myth: Fillers are harmful for the body since they are absorbed by the body.

Truth: Absolutely not. Hyaluronic acid, which is used as temporary filler, is a natural substance found in the skin, joints and eyes of the body. It is gradually broken down by the body and not harmful to health. In fact, some brands of fillers has obtained FDA’s approval for clinical use.*

Myth: Surgery is required to place fillers into the body.

Truth: Not at all. Facial fillers for the nose, nasolabial folds, cheeks, chin, etc. are easily placed into the respective parts via a few simple injections. There is no need to undergo the knife– hence the wonder of minimally invasive procedures. Even breast fillers only require 1 or 2 injection sites under the breasts. Minimal pain and minimal scarring, in just under 15min!*

Myth: You need to keep coming back for frequent top-ups once you do fillers.

Truth: Top-ups are required only because temporary fillers are naturally broken down by the body and absorbed, so its effect diminishes over time. They are not in the least bit addictive and you can choose not to top up again if you’d like. The filler will simply disappear and the part of the body will return to its original state as before filler was done.*

There can be incidences where the fillers last longer than expected in some people, especially after 1 or 2 top ups. This eliminates the need for frequent top ups over time.*

Myth: When the filler disappears, you’ll look worse than before.

Truth: Fillers do not change the original state of the body part it is placed into. When it is absorbed, that part of the body simply returns to how it was supposed to be. Of course, temporary fillers last up to a year or more and in that time, the body is still undergoing its own aging process.*

Myth: Fillers are harmful to the body when used in the long term.

Truth: Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the skin, eyes and joints. It is gradually broken down by the body’s natural metabolism and is not known to be harmful in the long term or short term. Newer studies have also showed that it may actually boost natural collagen in the skin for a more longer term effect, which can be considered desirable in many cases.*

Myth: Fillers change the shape of the body part permanently.

Truth: Not all fillers. Temporary fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid which are absorbed by the body over months and gradually, the body returns to its original state, as it was before. Of course, as part of aging and change, the body does sometimes alter from its natural state but it is not usually affected by temporary fillers like these. Permanent fillers are not absorbed, though, and they can stay for a long long time. In that sense, they change the shape of the body part permanently.*

Myth: Doing something to your face with fillers makes it look fake.

Truth: Amazingly, it is rather difficult to look fake with facial fillers. They can give dramatic natural results and yet escape others’ eyes unnoticed. Too many have told me how they wished people had noticed– even though in their own eyes, it was a great difference!*

Myth: Fillers are very painful.

Truth: Some pain is to be expected but it is usually minimal and quickly forgotten after the procedure. The pain is usually only of the injections and subsequently, a vague dull ache during filler injection. After the procedure, the dull ache may remain for a couple of days but it isn’t particularly noticeable and resolves quickly. In other words, it definitely isn’t something you’ll remember for too long.*

Non-Surgical Nose Filler Augmentation

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

Want a taller nose bridge or a sharper nose tip but don’t like the idea of going under the knife for an implant? Try our Non Surgical Nose Augmentation, also commonly known as Nose Filler. The best thing about a nose filler is that the results are immediately obvious, even though it is a non-surgical procedure!*

A flat and round nose is the nemesis of the ideal face shape for beauty. Using hyaluronic acid filler injections, you can reshape your nose bridge and tip to improve both your side and frontal profile.*

Hyaluronic acid filler is a proteoglycan similar to what is also found in our skin, eyes and joints. It is highly reversible, either by dissolution or natural breakdown by the body over months, and has been found to be very safe for facial contouring.*

It is a quick non-surgical nose job (which takes about 15-20 minutes ONLY)*, requiring a few injections down the middle of your nose bridge and tip with careful massage at the end. At TYAS, pain is minimised with the use of both topical numbing cream and fillers that contains lignocaine (an anesthetic agent) to numb the injected areas. Therefore there is no or minimal pain with nose filler augmentation.*

Unlike traditional nose implants which are permanent (may require replacement over time), and are usually highly noticeable, though the results of the nose filler (whether bridge or tip augmentation) are also clearly visible, the non-surgical nose filler procedure does not radically change your appearance or make you look as if you have had “work done”. The improvement from undergoing the non-surgical nose filler is clearly visible, but at the same time, natural. Your friends and family may probably feel you look different, but will not be able to tell exactly how you look different.*

A nose filler can last in varying durations from 1 year to 2.5 years, depending on the brand of filler that is used. All the fillers used at TYAS are assuredly HSA (Singapore Health Science Authority) approved, so you can have a peace of mind of the safety profile of the fillers.*

New! Now, you may also reduce big or wide nose tip with a combination of Filler augmentation and Threadlift reduction of the nose tip. Filler can be used to enhance the nasal column so that the tip is lifted. Threads can also be used to reduce the width of your nose as well as lift it forward – only 6 to 8 threads is required for visible results. Overall, the nose tip will immediately look visibly much sharper and smaller with this latest combination treatment. Pain is tolerable with nose threadlift and minimal with nose filler.*

It is a myth that a nose augmentation procedure (which makes your nose bridge higher and nose tip sharper) leaves a scar behind on the nose. The reality is that a nose augmentation procedure is unlikely to leave any scar whatsoever since no knife is used at all and no incision is made. The nose filler procedure is done only with a few needle injections.*

Why do your Nose Filler here at TYAS?

We have performed countless Nose Filler Augmentation and also Nose Threadlift procedures here at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery. As Nose Filler & Nose Threadlift procedures are part medicine, part art, one should chose a Doctor who is both a medical expert in filler and also possesses an expert eye for beauty. In other words, you must trust the Doctor’s sense of beauty. As both a doctor and a beauty queen, you can trust that Dr. Tiffiny Yang & co can do a nose filler that is deemed universally beautiful and aesthetically pleasing to most people.*

Our lady doctors are well known for being extremely gentle, and this translates to our procedures being very gentle as well. What this means is that in a Nose Filler / Nose Threadlift procedure, one will probably see much less bruising (which means less downtime) and feel less pain as well.*

Possible side effects

Downtime is very low or none at all. There may be some needle marks and redness on the first day, with an occasional small bruise along the bridge in the first week. The result is obvious immediately and there is minimal swelling, which resolves within days.*

What can Nose Threadlift do for you?

Want to have a higher, straighter and more defined nose without invasive nose implant surgery or the concerns of filler augmentation? Nose Threadlift may be the answer. At Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery, our Nose Threadlift can improve your nose contours and also enhance the shape and height of your nose without surgery. The Nose Threadlift procedure is a very popular procedure in Korea and Japan. It is commonly known as the “lunch-time” nose lift in Korea and Japan.*

The procedure is specially targeted at giving you a straighter, higher and more defined nose bridge or nose tip. In addition, Nose Threadlift can also lift your nose tip and make it appear smaller and sharper.*

It is a myth that the only way to have a higher, more defined nose is to undergo an invasive nose implant surgery. The reality is that the Nose Threadlift procedure, a non-surgical and minimally invasive procedure with almost no down time, can also help you obtain a higher and more defined nose and nose tip.*

For those who are also concerned about the risks of filler treatment such as spread, migration or lump formation, the Nose Threadlift provides a good alternative to enhancing the features of the nose without the attending risks of filler treatments.*

Generally, the results produced by Nose Threadlift procedure are*:

  • Lifting of the nose tip to make it sharper and smaller*;
  • Straighter nose profile;*
  • Greater definition of the nose bridge*; and
  • Higher nose bridge*.

What is Nose Threadlift? How does Nose Threadlift work?

The threads used for the Nose Threadlift procedure are called PDO (polydixanone) threads. The PDO threads have been scientifically proven to be fully absorbed by the body after some time. As the PDO threads dissolve over time, they create new collagen, and tissue fibroblasts in the skin, which results in tighter skin, hence enhancing the nose’s definition and contour.*

In addition, once inserted, the nose threads act as a scaffolding structure which immediately helps to contour, give definition, sharpen, lift and or shape the nose as desired without surgery.*

If you want to have a higher and straighter nose without invasive nose implant surgery, Nose Threadlift may be your answer. At Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery, our Nose Threadlift can improve your nose contours and also enhance the shape and height of your nose without surgery.*

Why Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery?

Apart from the doctor’s skill, the results of a Nose Threadlift procedure is also much dependent on the type of threads used. Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery is probably the only clinic in Singapore that exclusively carries the most suitable HIKO screw cog nose threads from Korea.*

A lot of threads currently in use today are short and smooth mono threads, which gives no or minimal results because they are too thin and smooth and therefore are unable to provide sufficient scaffolding to lift the nose sufficiently. On the other hand, threads that are too thick are more likely to cause scarring.*

On the other hand, the HIKO screw cog nose threads used exclusively at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery are different from usual threads because the HIKO screw cog nose threads are peppered with cogs, maximizing the scaffolding, lifting, and contouring effect of the nose. You will have to try the HIKO screw cog nose threads by Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery to see the difference. The procedure is completed in only 1 treatment session.* There is little downtime or side effects, as compared to repeated treatments required for other types of threads, therefore minimizing pain, time and cost.*

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the Nose Threadlift last?

The results of the Nose Threadlift generally last from 1 to 2 years.*

It should be noted that there is a partial effect that is semi-permanent. This is because the Nose Threadlift creates new collagen within the skin and tightens the skin as time goes by.*

For best results, 1 repeat treatment at 6 to 12 months is highly recommended.*

As to the number of threads required for optimal results, it depends greatly from one individual to the other. The optimal number of threads will be advised by our doctors after consultation.*

What are the possible side effects of Nose Threadlift?

There is very little side effect and almost no downtime at all, since it only involves a single injection site at the tip of the nose.*

As compared to Nose Filler, migration or broadening is far less common and risk of lumps almost nil. Some discomfort is expected for the following week, just like in a Nose Filler, but it mostly resolves within a fortnight.*

The risk for infection with any implantation procedure is present, albeit low. Care with sterility during the procedure is of utmost importance to avoid infection, as well as after care – please do not apply makeup or facial products on the treated area until at least 3 hours after the procedure.*

Does the type of Nose Threads used matter?

It certainly does!*

Apart from our Doctor’s impeccable skill, the results of a Nose Threadlift procedure is also much dependent on the type of threads used.

You will have to try the HIKO screw cog nose threads by Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery to see the difference.* The procedure is completed in only 1 treatment session. There is little downtime or side effects, as compared to repeated treatments required for other types of threads, therefore minimizing pain, time and cost.*

Why do some Nose Threadlift not give sufficient result?

Short thin threads do not give a good result, if at all, and you may very well be wasting your time and money. Threads that are too thick can leave a scar at the injection point. Threads with the correct type of cog gives the best lift and effect for the nose bridge and tip. One must choose wisely. ;)*

If you have attempted Nose Threadlift before but does not think the results good at all, it is likely due to any of the below*:

  1. Wrong type of Nose Threads used
  2. Wrong number of Nose Threads placed
  3. Wrong technique of placement of Nose Threads to maximize its potential lifting effect.

The right thickness and the presence of cogs are essential to an effective nose threadlift. Otherwise, the procedure only acts to firm up the skin of the nose, rather than give a lifting effect.*

The screw cog nose threads used exclusively at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery are different from usual threads because the HIKO screw cog nose threads are peppered with cogs, maximizing the scaffolding, lifting, and contouring effect of the nose.*

Is the Nose Threadlift procedure suitable for men too?

Nose Threadlift is a very good option for nose augmentation in men, especially in conjunction with Nose Filler, to give a high and defined result.* As males tend to be bigger in build, the number of threads required may be more, as compared to an average female.*

At Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery, this procedure has been done for both men and women with good result of nose bridge lifting and nose tip sharpening.*

How many sessions are required to achieve a good result?

Only one session is usually required.* The results are dependent on the type and number of threads used rather than on the number of sessions, as long as sufficient number of the right type of threads are used.*

Which to choose: Nose Filler or Nose Threadlift?

This depends very much on your objective and desired nose appearance. For nose bridge height adjustment, filler is still the better option; whereas for creating definition and contouring, threadlift is the choice.*

Better still, combine both the nose filler with the nose threadlift for a full and complete nose makeover – if dramatic is what you are looking for. Results of combination therapy may not be lesser than implant rhinoplasties and yet reversible.*

Non-surgical Cheek Filler Augmentation

beautiful woman

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

Do you find your cheeks looking flat of low cheekbones? Or perhaps you used to have full apples of your cheeks but it seems to have deflated over the years due to aging. As we age, we lose volume in the superficial malar fat pad, which leads to hollowing of the cheeks, a gaunt look, the appearance of sunken undereyes and prominent nasolabial folds due to excess lax skin. In fact, many Asians lose the medial cheek volume as the first sign of aging but it is not apparent to most until more advanced aging has taken place. Do not wait until it is too late!*

You can tackle this problem with cheek filler correction. Only 2-3 injections are required per cheek to place filler into the malar area of the cheeks, refilling and plumping it up for youthful fullness. This procedure takes about 30 minutes, with minimal downtime if at all. Hyaluronic acid or Radiesse are two of the best choices of filler for this purpose. They give instant gratification by taking years off your face immediately.*

The advantages of cheek filler has not been expounded sufficiently. Cheeks are only small areas on the face but simple filler correction of volume loss on the cheeks not only improve the cheeks immediately for a more youthful appearance– it also lifts and improves jowling & nasolabial folds (laugh lines) and reduce the appearance of eye bags and undereye bulges. It is a myth that cheek filler makes one look like one has put on weight. As long as the filler is not overdone, the effect can be very natural and aesthetically pleasing.*

Nasolabial folds / Laugh Lines

nasolabial folds, laugh lines

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

Deep laugh lines are a certain giveaway for age. This is one part of the face we shouldn’t neglect to treat once it appears. Filler can easily correct this problem by reducing its appearance for a younger, fresher look.* For more information, read here.

Possible side effects

There are very few uncommon side effects with cheek filler augmentation. There may be slight swelling for a few days, after which the filler in the cheek may reduce 20% when the swelling subsides. However, the swelling is not usually visible. Bruising seldom but can occasionally occur.* Pain is minimal as the filler usually contains anesthetic and topical numbing cream is used.*

Therefore, the more cross-linked the HA, the longer it lasts.

There is also a part of the filler procedure that causes a little swelling, such as the local anaesthetic and the inflammation of local trauma. This quickly subsides in a few days, leading to a reduction of up to 20-30% in the final result.

Should I always choose the brand of HA that lasts the longest to save cost?

The longer HA lasts, the more viscous it must be and therefore, the harder its feel may be or its chance of leaving residual lumps. Harder HA may not be suitable for all areas of facial correction, even though they last longer, because they may not be suitable for all areas or feel all that natural in others.

Newer improved fillers seldom give the Tyndall effect these days.

Thereafter, once it has set, you can do whatever you want and it should not change in shape.

It is gradually broken down by the body and absorbed, usually lasting from 6-12 months.

In fact, some brands of fillers have obtained FDA’s approval for clinical use.

Minimal pain and minimal scarring, in just under 15min!

The filler will simply disappear and the part of the body will return to its original state as before filler was done.

There can be incidences where the fillers last longer than expected in some people, especially after 1 or 2 top ups. This eliminates the need for frequent top ups over time.

Myth: When the filler disappears, you’ll look worse than before.

Truth: Fillers do not change the original state of the body part it is placed into. When it is absorbed, that part of the body simply returns to how it was supposed to be. Of course, temporary fillers last up to a year or more and in that time, the body is still undergoing its own aging process.

In that sense, they change the shape of the body part permanently.

Myth: Doing something to your face with fillers makes it look fake.

Truth: Amazingly, it is rather difficult to look fake with facial fillers. They can give dramatic natural results and yet escape others’ eyes unnoticed. Too many have told me how they wished people had noticed– even though in their own eyes, it was a great difference!

In other words, it definitely isn’t something you’ll remember for too long.

Nasolabial Folds Filler Correction

Cheek and Nasolabial filler

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

Laugh lines are nasolabial folds that run from both sides of your nose to the corners of your mouth. They come with aging, when facial fat pads are lost and cause the skin to sag downwards and form prominent folds.

Correction by Filler

These are easily reversed with hyaluronic acid filler injections into the lines, volumising the area and minimising the appearance of such lines.* Hyaluronic acid filler is a proteoglycan similar to what is also found in our skin, eyes and joints. It is highly reversible, either by dissolution or natural breakdown by the body over months, and has been found to be very safe for facial contouring.

This procedure takes up to 30 minutes, with 2-3 injections per side from the corners of the nose to a little way down the nasolabial lines. Some massage over the area after the procedure minimises side effects.* There is no downtime.*

For better result, some may also require a treatment of cheek fillers to restore the facial fat pads that were lost. (You may read more about it here.)* As nasolabial folds are a part of normal facial expressions and are present during smiling even in little babies, elimination may be possible but it is not the aim. Rather, treatment aims at reducing sunkeness and severity of these lines, especially when the face is at rest and without expression, for a less aged look.

Correction by Btx

Some lightening of these lines with btx is also possible and is more often used in conjunction with filler augmentation to enhance the correction and improve results.*

Possible side effects

Numbness of the upper lip during the procedure is common due to the presence of lignocaine in the filler; it disappears in hours. This area hardly sees any bruising at all.* Sometimes, lumpiness may be felt just after the procedure but it quickly resolves within 2 weeks or so.* A very rare complication is where the side of the nose gets less blood supply after the procedure, resulting in some skin changes– medical attention should be sought immediately if this happens.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Pricing: From SGD 650

Correction by Threadlift

If you find fillers not suitable for you, you can also consider threadlift to improve the laugh lines.

PDO threads are placed just beneath the skin to improve firmness of the skin and reduce deep laugh lines. These threads are placed in a new technique known as the scaffolding threadlift and improve the quality of your skin through the first 6-8 months of treatment.* Threads are a safe option and are highly reversible, as they dissolve completely after 6-8 months.*

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Pricing: From SGD 800

Pores

Skin rejuvenation

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

Do you have large gaping pores that you want to get rid of? Feel frustrated because your make-up cannot cover the large pores on your face? We have the treatment right here for you.*

Pores are openings in the skin, formed by the pilosebaceous (hair and sebum gland) unit, which also produces sweat onto the skin. They can become enlarged in the following circumstances:

1. Accumulation of sebum and debris within pores so that they are unable to close, and

2. Loss of supporting collagen and water in the skin so that they become gaping holes.

Enlarged pores can be made smaller by:

1. Removing the debris that clogs the pores, so as to allow them to close; and*

2. Improving collagen production and hydration around the pores so that they are plumped up and look smaller.*

In other words, pores are multifactorial. No single treatment is sufficient to eliminate them from coming back again and again. A combination of treatments such as the necessary skincare and laser light treatments we have available at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery are far superior in efficacy than any single treatment alone.

Our TY specially formulated regime for treatment of pores includes:

1) Tiffiny Yang Skincare Pore Refining Facial Wash + Age Defense & Brightening Serum x 1 set (FOC with SGD 3200 Pore Removal package for 10 sessions)

2) Pore Refining Medifacial

The Pore Refining Medifacial has been specially formulated by us, with steps in the 90-minute facial programme that targets all the potential causes of pore formation. Besides the cleansing and massaging of effective products into the skin for pore reducing treatment, it also includes Hydrafacial: the suction mechanism of this machine, combined with exfoliation by salicylic acid, removes the dead skin cells which clogs the pores, as well as cleanses the pores deeply so as to reduce enlargement of pores.

This Medifacial programme alone may already by sufficient to control mild pores. (Also available as individual session at SGD 280 only.)

3) Pore Removal Package from SGD 1480 4 sessions

On top of the above Medifacial for Pores, the Spectra carbon laser peel is particularly effective* in treating pores. It targets the specific pathways in pore formation so as to cure pores from the root of the problem – laser light with peeling that exfoliates to remove dead skin cells and deeply cleans the pores, heat to make pores smaller so as to reduce comedonal formation (whiteheads/blackheads) that clogs pores.

This highly effective package has been specially formulated to ensure that all the causes of pores have been fully targeted so as to eliminate pores effectively with every step.

In addition, fractional CO2 laser resurfacing pares the skin and forces it to heal again so as to improve collagen production in the skin so that the pores are shallower and smaller with each treatment.* These treatments are medically effective and results may be visible in 2-6 months (it takes time to produce new collagen to improve the appearance of pores).* Maintenance treatment is thereafter recommended every 6 months.

For pores that are severely clogged, we highly recommend our Pore Refining Medifacial on the day of or 1 day before laser treatment.

Fuller Beautiful Lips

Lip Filler for fuller, beautiful lips

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

Want thick sexy pouty lips? Plump and enhance your lips with hyaluronic acid filler injection, restoring its volume and perk it up to sexiness.* This procedure is also commonly known as the non surgical lip enhancement / injection.

We use the softest hyaluronic acid for this purpose, so that your lips will be soft to the touch.* It takes approximately 4-5 injections to shape the lips and we know just the perfect shape for rosebud lips*: the upper lips should be golden to the lower in terms of height and retain its Cupid bows, whereas the lower lips should have fullness just to the left and right of midline to create just the oh-so-kissable lips. This is a non surgical procedure, and takes only 15-30 minutes, with almost no downtime at all.*

Hyaluronic acid fillers are not permanent, and they usually last for 1 year.* Your body breaks down Hyaluronic acid naturally into carbon and water. For enhancing lip volume, we recommend Jvderm Volift and for improving lip line definition, we recommend Jvderm Vobella.

Possible side effects

It’s a slightly more painful procedure than chin or nose fillers because the lips are more sensitive, but this is alleviated by the presence of lignocaine in the filler we use. Lumpiness is possible if the filler isn’t soft enough– which is why we use the softest possible.

It is a Myth that a woman’s lips cannot be plumped up. To have kissable lips like Angelina Jolie or Shu Qi, all you need are some fillers in the lips.*

Why choose us for your Lip Filler procedure?

Dr. Tiffiny Yang & co. has many years of medical clinical experience, and is able to use fillers effectively to create sexy, pouty lips for women.* A good lip filler partially lies in the doctor’s appreciation of what a woman lips should look like. After all, Who knows a woman needs better then another woman? Being a beauty queen herself, Dr. Tiffiny Yang definitely knows what is a pair of irresistible & kissable lips.

It is gradually broken down by the body and not harmful to health.* In fact, some brands of fillers have obtained FDA’s approval for clinical use.

Myth: Surgery is required to place fillers into the body.

Truth: Not at all. Facial fillers for the nose, nasolabial folds, cheeks, chin, etc. are easily placed into the respective parts via a few simple injections.* There is no need to undergo the knife– hence the wonder of minimally invasive procedures.

When it is absorbed, that part of the body simply returns to how it was supposed to be.* Of course, temporary fillers last up to a year or more and in that time, the body is still undergoing its own aging process.

Temporary fillers are made up of hyaluronic acid which are absorbed by the body over months and gradually, the body returns to its original state, as it was before.* Of course, as part of aging and change, the body does sometimes alter from its natural state but it is not usually affected by temporary fillers like these. Permanent fillers are not absorbed, though, and they can stay for a long long time. In that sense, they change the shape of the body part permanently.

Myth: Doing something to your face with fillers makes it look fake.

Truth: Amazingly, it is rather difficult to look fake with facial fillers.* They can give dramatic natural results and yet escape others’ eyes unnoticed.*

Myth: Fillers are very painful.

Truth: Some pain is to be expected but it is usually minimal and quickly forgotten after the procedure.* The pain is usually only of the injections and subsequently, a vague dull ache during filler injection. After the procedure, the dull ache may remain for a couple of days but it isn’t particularly noticeable and resolves quickly.* In other words, it definitely isn’t something you’ll remember for too long.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Fuller Temples, Rounder Forehead

beautiful asian woman

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

As part of the aging, the temples lose their volume and become sunken or hollow. This easily gives away your real age. The forehead also loses fat volume with age and appear flatter. The brows consequently droop from lack of support due to this volume loss on the upper face and start looking sad.

Dermal filler injection with hyaluronic acid can easily reverse this sign of aging and restore your forehead, temples and brows to the fullness of youth.* Hyaluronic acid filler is a proteoglycan similar to what is also found in our skin, eyes and joints. It is highly reversible, either by dissolution or natural breakdown by the body over months, and has been found to be very safe for facial contouring.* When the forehead and temples are fuller, the skin also lifts up around the brow areas and helps in reducing brow droopiness.

This procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes, requiring a few injections per side.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Possible side effects

As the skin over this area is thin, bruising can happen occasionally. As we typically use cannula for these areas, bruising and pain is minimised except for a few. Unevenness seldom happens but is easily smoothened out on follow up review if present.*

Price from SGD 680 for 1 full syringe of filler

Temples and Forehead typically requires between 1 to 3 full syringes of filler for full correction.*

How does Fat Grafting compare with Filler for Forehead and Temples?

Fat grafting is a surgically invasive procedure as compared to non-invasive filler treatment, as it requires fat to be harvested from other areas of the body before transplanting into the desired areas of treatment. Downtime for fat graft is therefore longer and recovery is more painful. Grafted fat is also not all permanent – approximately 50% of fat remains after 6 months, depending on the surgeon’s skill, which is comparable to the duration of filler treatment. There is also a risk of fat necrosis leading to hardening and irreversibility of treatment in the event of undesirable outcome of fat grafting. A good idea may be to try filler treatment before actually undergoing fat grafting.

Best results when combined with Threadlift

For best lifting for the brows, you may consider combining filler treatment of the forehead, brows and temples with our Korean Ultra V Threadlift. Only 3 to 5 threads are necessary per side to see gradual lifting over 1 to 3 months.*

Skin Tightening – Ulthera® (Ultherapy / Ultrasound Skin Tightening)

Ultherapy Love Your Skin II

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) by Ulthera®

Ultrasound skin tightening, also popularly known as Ultherapy/Ulthera®, is a breakthrough procedure utilising High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for non-surgical, non-invasive cosmetic improvement of the skin. The HIFU ultrasound energy or Ulthera® penetrates and works deep below the skin surface without harming the outer layer of skin. The end result is dramatic and long-lasting benefits of facial firming, skin tightening and lifting.*

The HIFU ultrasound energy or Ulthera® will give you improvement around the eyes include lifting of the brow line to reduce droopiness on the eyelids, smoothing of crow’s feet, and a more open, refreshed look to the eyes in general.*

Sagging skin on the cheeks can also be tightened and lifted, which in turn can improve folds from the nose to mouth, folds from the mouth to jaw, and drooping corners of the mouth.* Often, a more defined jaw line (resulting in a V-Face shape) and overall improvement in skin texture and evenness of colour are known additional benefits.*

How does Ulthera® work?

Ulthera® is safe for all skin types. Any patient who has experienced some sagging of their skin will benefit from this treatment. It is likely that if your sagging is severe, you may need a repeated treatment for visible results.

Ulthera® works by delivering low levels of focused heat at just the right depth below the skin to achieve a lifting effect, leaving the surface of your skin undisturbed and undamaged. Your body’s response to the HIFU energy is an increased growth of new collagen within the skin. As a result, a gradual tightening occur, ultimately resulting in a natural lift and conditioning of the skin over time.

doublo-s_index_img03

How is the procedure like?

Patients may feel a warm prickly sensation beneath the skin when the ultrasound energy is being delivered into the target tissue. The procedure takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes. You are able to return to your normal activities right away, and you can apply makeup if needed. Your skin may be slightly red immediately after the treatment, but any redness will subside within a few hours.

How many treatments will I need?

Only 1 treatment a year or at most 2 treatments 6 months apart are recommended.*

What areas of the face and neck are treated?

Ulthera® can be done on any part of your face including the forehead, temples, mid and lower face, and jaw line. In some cases, the neck is also treated. The most popular treatment is the full face, neck, and defined jawline treatment.

What kinds of results can I expect?

The regenerative process may be noticed immediately such that some patients may be able to see initial lifting of the skin.* However, the full effect will build gradually over two to three months and some patients will see optimal results only after a few months.*

In clinical trials for ultrasound frequency (HIFU) for non-invasive and non-surgical face lift such as in Ulthera®, patients had a noticeable, significant lift of the brow line.* This resulted in opening up of the eyes and a more youthful appearance overall.* Patients also reported firmer, tighter, better-fitting skin in other areas of the face and neck as well.* Smoother texture and a more even skin colour are also possible side benefits.*

Which is better – Thermage or Ulthera?

We have both treatments because in reality, Thermage® and Ulthera® treats different things. Thermage removes the wrinkles from your skin.* On the other hand, Ulthera® solves the problem of saggy and droopy skin by giving the skin a lifting effect.* Thermage and Ulthera® thus work together, hand in hand to give a holistic 3D Face Lift by removing wrinkles and lifting saggy / droopy skin.*

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Skin Tightening – Thermage CPT

thermage_hp-banners-toneupskin_0

Medical Grade RadioFrequency Skin Tightening by Thermage

Thermage has FDA approval for:

(a) the treatment of wrinkles around the eyes;

(b) facial wrinkles;

(c) cellulite; and

(d) all body laxity (sagging skin) e.g. abdomen, arms, neck, thighs.

Science behind Thermage

Thermage CPT - how it works

Thermage discharges monopolar radiofrequency energy to the skin. This electrical energy is met by the skin cells. The electrical resistance converts the radiofrequency (RF) energy into heat energy. The heat produces does two things:-

(1) Short Term. The heat breaks down hydrogen bonds in the skin, causing its structure to shorten and thicken. What this means is that a few weeks after the procedure, this molecular structure shorting will lead to visible tightening effect of the skin.

(2) Long Term: New, healthy collagen is produced in the skin due to the heating effect of the radiofrequency (RF) energy, leading to long lasting tightening seen after a few months of the procedure. In addition, the heat also stimulates blood flow, which leads to an increased metabolism (slow removal) of the fatty layer of the skin.

Thermage radiofrequency (RF) energy is monopolar, as opposed to bipolar. The advantage of monopolar radiofrequency is that it penetrates deeper than bipolar radiofrequency, reaching the deepest skin layer for the production of collagen.

It is a myth that the only ways to tighten one’s facial skin is by way of invasive surgery. Radiofrequency (RF) energy treatment which is absolutely non-invasive, can be very effective for a modest face lift.* Thermage has been approved by the FDA for the treatment of facial wrinkles and sagging skin.

Side Effects

The Thermage procedure is non-ablative, meaning the radiofrequency (RF) energy does not damage the top layer of the skin. The radiofrequency (RF) energy penetrates underneath the skin, leaving the skin surface intact. This translates into a much shorter downtime, even none.*

Almost immediately after the treatment, there should be visible tightening and minimal swelling.* Swelling is necessary as its presence indicates that the treatment was successful, and that long lasting tightening results are more likely to be achieved.* In addition, there may also be some transient erythema (redness of the skin) after the procedure.

The swelling and redness should disappear approximately 2-3 days after the treatment. However, this is not visible most of the time and so there is essentially NO downtime.*

After Childbirth or Losing Massive Weight

The tummy is an area of special concern to women after childbirth. Tummy skin after childbirth and weight loss may become lax and loose. Some women also have this problem of loose skin around the tummy after they lose massive amounts of weight. Why should loose skin at your belly stop you from wearing your favorite bikini?

Thermage can tighten up loose skin around your tummy / belly ofand get you one step closer to a firmer, tighter, more toned tummy.*

Jawline & Neck

Jawline sagging, or not being able to see a clearly defined jawline, is a sign of aging. The more the skin around your jawline sags, the older you will look. Thankfully Thermage is also able to tighten up this part of the face and make your jawline look defined.*

In addition to the jawline, Thermage can also tighten the loose skin around your neck, reducing neck lines and giving you a complete fresher and younger look.*

Results

Facial tightening improvement continues for 6 months post Thermage treatment. Depending on the area treated, results can include*:

  • Improved complexion.
  • Tighter, more contoured skin.
  • Eyebrow lift.
  • Correction of hooding of the eyelids.
  • Correction of wrinkles around the eyes.
  • Improve laxity of the jawline and reduce neck lines.
  • Improved nasolabial folds.
  • Improved acne scars.
  • Tightening of skin of the abdomen, arms, thighs, and buttocks.
  • Improved cellulite.

How is it done?

How many sessions are needed?

Only one session of Thermage Treatment is required to see results.* The next Thermage treatment should be done approximately 6 – 12 months after the last treatment as aging and gravity do not stop!

There are some surveys showing that some patients feel that they look 5 years younger look after 3 sessions of Thermage.*

Which is better – Thermage or Ultherapy?

We carry both treatments because in reality, Thermage and Ultrasound Skin Tightening targets different modes of skin tightening. Thermage removes the wrinkles in your skin. On the other hand, Ultrasound Skin Tightening solves the problem of saggy and droopy skin by giving the skin a lifting effect. Thermage and Ultrasound Skin Tightening thus work together, hand in hand to give a holistic 3D Face Lift by removing wrinkles and lifting saggy / droopy skin.

FAQs

thermage-CPT-device

What is Thermage?

Thermage is a safe, non-invasive procedure that is clinically proven to help smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger looking appearance.* The treatment delivers natural looking results with little to no downtime – on all skin colours, on and off the face, all in a single procedure.* Since there is no surgery involved you can generally return to normal activities immediately following the procedure. It has been approved by the FDA since 2002 and available only in the doctor’s office. The latest Thermage procedure offers Comfort Pulse Technology, significantly improving treatment comfort. It works on all skin types.

How does it work?

Thermage is a deep heating technology that uses radiofrequency (RF) to heat the skin. A smooth flat tip delivers Thermage’s unique radiofrequency technology, which safely heats the deep collagen-rich layers of the skin. This heat helps to tighten existing collagen that have become loose with age and stimulate the formation of new collagen over time, which reduces sagging, renews contours and improves the thickness and texture of your skin.*

Each treatment takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour for the face. Only a single treatment is usually sufficient to deliver results.*

Who performs the procedure?

Only physicians are trained to use the Thermage effectively for best outcome with minimal side effects.*

Which areas of the body can you use Thermage for?

It can be used safely and effectively on the face, eyes, abdomen, arms and thighs. It also reduces the appearance of cellulite.*

What results can I expect?

Wrinkled, crepey or saggy skin can appear smoother; bulging skin can be tighter and firmer.* The eyes may look bigger and brighter with less hooding.* The results are subtle, very natural and gradually improves over time.* You see full results in 6 months and some patients report improvements lasting more than 1 year.*

Immediate result is usually visible and improve over time as the body rebuilds natural collagen. In most patients, measurable tightening and contouring gradually appears in 2 to 6 months following a single treatment session.* Results can last for 1-2 years depending on your skin condition and the process of aging. It’s setting the clock back, but not stopping the clock.*

Results do vary depending on age and skin condition.

Is there any downtime?

There is no special care required and most patients can return to their regular activities immediately after the treatment session, including your own makeup and skincare regime. There may be slight redness immediately after the procedure that resolves in an hour or so and slight swelling that disappears within the day.

Does it hurt?

Each time the treatment tip is applied, there will first be a brief cooling sensation, followed by a brief heating sensation and finally by another cooling sensation. The heating sensation is a sign that the deep layers of the skin are reaching effective temperatures for tightening, whereas the cooling sensation protects the topmost layer of the skin so it prevents blisters. Heat is absolutely essential to see skin tightening results. You may feedback to your treating physician on the level of heat to help maximize your comfort while maximizing results. Vibration of the tip also helps to reduce discomfort.

Thermage has an excellent safety record. Side effects are few and may include redness, swelling, blisters.

Can I get a Thermage treatment in place of a facelift?

Thermage can definitely tighten loose skin but it cannot give the dramatic results of a surgical facelift. If you are looking for a modest improvement without the trauma of surgery, then Thermage is right for you.*

Can I get a Thermage procedure if I’ve already had other procedures?

Thermage is compatible with most other cosmetic procedures and in fact, may complement some procedures such as btx for wrinkles, threadlift and skin resurfacing laser treatments. Thermage may be repeated once a year.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

You may read more on Thermage and find us listed as an official clinic providing Thermage treatment at their official website at www.thermage.com.

Non-Surgical Threadlift – Korea Ultra V Threadlift

ULTIMATE FACELIFT PACKAGE

Feel that the years are catching up with you and that your face skin is sagging or droopy?

Looking into the mirror hoping that you can have firmer, lifted skin without any surgery or significant downtime?*

Then, a non surgical dissolvable threadlift is the answer.* No one wants to have an overdone, wind blown look that surgical facelifts tend to create but non-surgical threadlifts naturally lifts saggy skin without any scars or significant pain.* It can reverse jowls and lift the deep folds of skin that form nasolabial folds or marionette lines, helping aging skin return to the youthful V shape face and taking 10 years off your face.*

How does it work?

As we age, our facial skin support structure weakens and we lose facial fat, especially around the cheeks, the eyebrows and other areas around the eyes, the jowls and the neck. The result is a longer, rounder, older-looking face.

As the skin ages, the connective tissue in the skin also becomes thinner. The elastic fibres in the skin undergo a type of breakdown. Thus the face loses some of its elasticity. The lack of elasticity brings with it the loss of certain face-shaping supports. The face begins to wrinkle, sag and droop. Younger people may experience cheek and brow ptosis caused by weakened muscles as well.

For these people especially, a thread lift may be a good alternative to the more invasive procedures necessary to correct problems in older people’s faces. Threadlifts emerged recently because many people would like a facelift but can’t afford it or don’t want the long recovery time of the standard facelift. Threadlifts cost less and require less downtime for many people, as good as a “lunchtime lift or a weekend facelift.* Usually it can be performed in under one hour.

The thread lift provides an actual “lift” and is a minimally invasive procedure.* It lasts for 1 to 2 years and in a milder form, matches the effect of brow lift or a lower face and neck lift.*

What types of threadlifts do we have?

There are two types of barbed threads which are available. These are:

  • Uni-directional barbed threads, which are anchored at a higher level fixation point. Examples are the Silhouette Soft® threadlift.
  • Bi-directional threads, with no anchoring points, inserted within a hollow needle and placed in such a manner that the thread cannot move either way because of the two-way direction of barbs fixing it nicely. Examples are seen in many of the cog threads used in Korean Ultra V Threadlift.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Korea Ultra V Threadlift

korea v face lift

There are many types of threads used in Korea Ultra V Threadlift, mainly cog threads and mono threads, but they are all made using polydioxanone (PDO), which is a dissolvable suture material commonly used in other surgical treatments. This material is very safe for use as threadlift as it has a long history of being widely used safely in many surgical and medical indications and, as a material, has hardly ever caused any side effect.*

Cog threads are modified for use in threadlift by creating tiny barbs along the threads that act as cogs to grasp, lift and suspend a relaxed facial area. The barbs open like an umbrella to form a support structure that lifts the sagging tissue. These barbs under the skin also tend to gather tissues to fill out and lift the cheeks and sagging skin. Barbs on the thread grab hold of skin tissue. This creates tension in the thread, and the tension lifts the skin tissue. Collagen formation also occurs around the threads and their cogs or barbs, producing an increasing effect over time. This part of the treatment is used for lifting of saggy or droopy skin.*

Korean PDO threadlift can also be used in Nose Threadlift augmentation for a non-surgical, no-downtime procedure to make the nose higher, smaller, sharper instantly. Read more about it here: http://www.tiffinyyangclinic.com/non-surgical-nose-threadlift/.

Mono threads are short, simple, smooth threads without barbs or cones that are placed multiply into the face in a mesh-like fashion for an overall skin tightening result. They work very well to reduce wrinkled skin by creating an overall skin tightening that comes after collagen starts forming around the threads 1 month after the treatment procedure. They complement the process of skin lifting that cog threads can give. Used on their own, they tighten the skin without significant lifting, therefore they are often used in combination with cog threads for a overall improvement in face rejuvenation and youth restoration.*

Why at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery?

At Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery, the threads we use for our threadlift procedures are top quality imported from Korea.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

How long does Korea Ultra V Threadlift last?

Korea Ultra V Threadlift can last for approximately 1 to 1.5 years, depending on your age, lifestyle, and facial movement patterns. As more collagen is produced over time, the results of the Korea Ultra V Threadlift will also gradually become better and peak at approximately 6-9 months after the procedure.* An advantage of the dissolving threads is that additional threads can be inserted at a later date if further lift procedures are required.

Downtime and Length of Thread Lift Procedure

Traditional face and brow lift surgeries are more invasive, and cause more trauma to the skin which requires more recovery time. As the dissolvable thread-lift procedure is less invasive, patients generally see less swelling, and are normally able to return to work and social settings almost immediately.*

In addition, as the dissolvable thread-lift procedure does not involve any cutting of the skin, only topical or local anesthetic is required.

As the procedure is non-invasive, side effects are rare and you may experience some light bruising which will go away in a few days.

Depending on the area that lifting is desired, the thread-lift procedure usually takes 30 minutes to an hour.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Synergism with other Procedures

Our Thread Lift procedures can be combined with other aesthetics medical procedures at our clinic. The usual combination which produces extremely synergistic results is with:-

Thermage & Ultrasound Skin Tightening (Radiofrequency & Ultrasound therapy). Thermage and Ultrasound treatments promote collagen remodeling and tightening, which enables the skin to look younger.* Check out our Ultimate Facelift Package here.

Dermal Fillers. Sagging and loss of volume are the two most common signs of aging. Sagging can be resolved with the threadlift, whist the loss of volume can be corrected by using our dermal fillers. When combined, the effect of restoring youthfulness is synergistic.*

Meso Dermal Lift with Btx. The reduction in facial muscle activity adds to the lifting effect for some. There is also a method of anti-wrinkle skin injection which tightens the skin at the sides of the face and of the brow and forehead by effecting skin contraction where the anti-wrinkle injection is applied. This adds significantly to the lifting effect and smoothening of the skin.*

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

“Medical Aesthetics: Fabulous, Not Fake”

水光针 Skin Boosters

skin boosters

This picture is not reflective of any results of treatments at our clinic. It is not a picture of our patients.

Many of us suffer from dry, wrinkled or crepe-like skin as we age. Those pores and fine lines don’t seem to go away, no matter how much moisturizers you apply. With aging, the skin is unable to produce enough of its own hyaluronic acid and collagen, leading to the formation of these fine lines, pores and sagging.

Rejuvenate your parched and thirsty skin with intense hydration with our 水光针 Skin Boosters (or collagen injection) treatment, which replaces the lost components present in youthful skin.* 水光针 Skin Booster treatments – 水光针 Skin Boosters create luminous skin in a natural way by gently and naturally smoothening the skin from the inside.* It works by increasing the hydration within the skin to provide lasting moisture and improve the skin’s surface.* When the skin gets more plumped up, fine lines and permanent wrinkles are reduced; pores and pigmentation may also appear less obvious.*

The Problem

Hyaluronic acid, being hydrophilic in nature, has been known to attract a lot of moisture. However, it does not last more than a few hours when applied as a face cream. There is also little or no penetration of the product, which makes it ineffective. There has to be a better way to prolong the intense hydrating effect that hyaluronic acid has on your skin.

What is the 水光 针 Skin Booster Treatment?

Our 水光针 Skin Booster treatment consists of hyaluronic acid which is able to retain huge amounts of moisture deep in the skin just below your skin surface, where it is most needed. The 水光针 Skin Booster injection is very soft and rich in hyaluronic acid and is placed just below the surface of your skin by micro-injections, where it can act best by attracting water for hydration and improving collagen production.*

Results can be seen as instant improvement in skin texture including pores, reduction in fine lines and improved glow or even lightening of deep dermal pigmentation.* The treatment results can last 6 months to 1 year.* This treatment is best used for the face or hands.

Why do 水光针 Skin Booster Treatment at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery

Because here at Tiffiny Yang Aesthetics & Surgery, we are able to tailor make this 水光针 Skin Booster treatment to your specific needs, instead of just offering the run-of-the-mill everyday skin booster you get anywhere else.

This is to improve your results further as you may add any of the following ingredients to your basic skin booster (which consists of purely hyaluronic acid) for enhanced effect according to your needs, for only an addition SGD 200. (Just tell us you want the Skin Booster Plus).

You may consider adding any of the following ingredients below for the Skin Booster Plus treatment.

Skin brightening and whitening: Vitamin C

Pores tightening: Btx

Anti-Aging: PDRN (婴儿针)

PDRN (婴儿针) is now known to be the cutting edge ingredient in anti-aging medicine– they are responsible for the production of new collagen and restoring youth to aging skin, so what better news than that they now come in a bottle. Vitamin C is also known as an indispensable ingredient of collagen regeneration – replacing it gives skin rejuvenation an extra boost. Btx has always been known to help in skin tightening by reducing wrinkles; when administered with the skin booster, it acts like micro btx for general skin tightening.*

The above ingredients are mixed with the basic skin booster (Skin Booster Plus) to be administered at the same time for enhanced effect for your desired improvement, be it for more whitening or greater tightening or simply anti-aging.*

Also, we only use the original Restylane Vital Skin Booster, which came up with this original concept of skin hydration with quality liquid filler. Always ask for the original Restylane Vital Skin Booster treatment instead of being subject to knock-off brands!

Who is suitable for this Treatment?

This treatment is excellent even for skin that has not yet reached the stage of overt aging, as a preventive measure to maintain hydration and smoothness of the skin before the ravages of age start to show.* With Skin Booster Plus, you may even reap additional benefits such as whitening, brightening, tightening and anti-aging.* Therefore, if you want to maintain smooth and beautiful skin, there is now no better way to seek it than this.*

Side Effects

As the procedure is done with multiple small injections on the face, some bruising and swelling may be seen for 1 week. As these are very tiny injections, any pain is easily managed with topical numbing cream before the procedure.

*Note: As this is a medical procedure, results & outcomes are not guaranteed and may vary from person to person.

Price for 水光针 Skin Booster (using only the original Restylane Vital Skin Booster) SGD 650 OR 3 sessions for SGD 1800

Price for Skin Booster Plus by addition of Vitamin C / Btx: Additional SGD 200 per ingredient
